No "J" in the Periodic Table

Did you notice there is no letter "J" on the Periodic Table of Elements.

A possible reason, mostly elements were named by their discoverer, and "J" is a rather rare letter in naming people, and secondly there is also no "J" in Latin(well, classical Latin at least) and most of the elements are named in "Latin" styles.

  1. Some elements of the end still require renaming. I will make sure they are named with a "J" in them :)

  2. Yeah, not me, but my students. And I am sure that they will not disobey me.
