The Olympian gods were the main deities in Ancient Greece.

★ After overthrowing their ancestors, the Titans, the Olympian gods became the rulers of the Cosmos representing the civilization of the world. 

★ The Olympian gods were majestically and democratically dwelling on Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece, built by the Cyclopes. 

★ The leader of the Olympian gods was Zeus.Greek myths always refer to the twelve Gods of Mount Olympus, but actually, in total there were more Olympian Gods in Greek Mythology.

★ Here are the 12 principal deities :
Ares : God of War
Athena :Goddess of Wisdom and Arts
Hephaestus :God of Metallurgy
Hermes : God of the Trade
Poseidon : God of the Seas
Apollo : God of the Sun and the Music

The Muses

The Muses were a group of nine very intelligent, beautiful divinities presiding over the Arts and the Sciences. They were created by Zeus, the King of the Gods.The Muses were brought to life to make the world disremember the evil and relieve the sorrows and to praise the gods, and especially the Olympian Gods' victory over their ancestors, the Titans. Apollo was the main teacher of the Muses.

★ Apollo was born by the King of the Gods Zeus and the mortal Leto in the divine Greek island of Delos.

★ He was the younger twin of Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt. 

★ Apollo was the Greek god of the Music. 

★ He invented the lute, but he was more popular for playing the lyre, which was invented by Hermes, the messenger of the gods. 

★ In addition, Apollo owned the precious gift of prophecy, given to him by his father Zeus in his infancy. 

★ Apollo's symbols were the lyre, the tripod, the laurel tree and the navel stone.

★ The Titans were created by Gaea, the goddess of the Earth and Uranus, the god of the Heaven.

★ The Titans were the first dwelling in Mount Olympus in Ancient Greece, but were overthrown and expelled to the lower basement of Hades, the Tartarus (a sunless abyss, below Hades, in which Zeus imprisoned theTitans). , after their defeat in a huge battle with the Olympian Gods, known as Titanomachy.
